Google plus just made it easy for you. Unlike other social networking sites you need not specify your gender to those who view your profile. You can just be ‘the person next door’!

How??

• Go to your profile.On the right hand side is the ‘edit profile’ button. Click it.
• In this editable copy of your profile, click on ‘gender’.

• Clicking the down arrow pulls down a menu.
• Select ‘other’.

• In the next pull down select ‘anyone on the web’. And save.

And that’s it!. The gender in such cases is viewed as ‘other’ by those viewing such a profile. The updates in such cases avoid personalization by replacing the pronouns ‘his’ or ‘her’ with ‘their’.

This feature is intended to promote organizations   joining Google plus. For the time being this seems to be the best alternative to hide gender on the web. Well? Then why wait? Start networking!
